Oct 29-Nov 26 - America's Cup in San Diego

An America’s Cup sailing regatta will be held in San Diego Bay in November 2011. This promises to be a signature event for San Diego (www.sea-sandiego.org) and the USS Midway Museum is working to support it, while making sure our guests’ and event attendees’ Midway experience remains a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
ROAD CLOSURES
North Harbor Drive between the Navy and Broadway Piers will be closed to vehicular traffic during Nov. 9 through Nov. 22. This includes the dates that the America's Cup Village is operating and dates to set it up with supplies and other necessities. It also includes days to dismantle it.

Wednesday, Nov. 9 - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 10 - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 11 - 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 12 - 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 13 - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 14 - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 15 - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 16 - 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 17 - 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 18 - 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 19 - 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Sunday, Nov. 20 - 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 21 - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 22 - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During these posted times, no vehicles, pedi-cabs or segways will be allowed to travel on this portion of North Harbor Drive.
Vehicles, pedi-cabs and segways traveling south on North Harbor Drive will be rerouted up West Broadway to Pacific Highway, where they can reconnect with Harbor Drive.

Construction of the America's Cup Village will take place from October 29 through November 8. During that period, vehicles will be allowed to travel through North Harbor Drive. One lane of traffic will be open in both the north and south directions
Minimal Navy Pier Parking
A substantial portion of the race’s headquarters will be located on Navy Pier, beginning October 29, 2011 and continuing until November 26, 2011. Public parking will be limited to less than 50 spaces on Navy Pier during this period.
Nearby Parking
Metered spaces are available on city streets ($1.25 per hour with a 2-hour limit). Downtown San Diego features more than 50,000 parking spaces. Some are within walking distance of the USS Midway Museum. Many are a short pedicab or taxi ride away. Public transportation is always recommended.
