A Wide Range of Support Opportunities
The Midway offers a variety of unique opportunities to those contributing to the museum’s growth and financial stability. Exhibits, classrooms, displays, benches and even aircraft can be permanently named on board Midway.
Commemorative Bench & Ship Program
Now you can commemorate a special event or honor a loved one aboard the Midway. We have benches suitable for customized memorial plaques—a great way to contribute to Midway and create a personal memorial at the same time. Gifts can be pledged over time and take the form of real property, securities and trust arrangements. Opportunities are available to support the restoration of elements of the flight deck, island superstructure and hangar deck.
Aircraft Naming
If someone flew or was a crew member of an aircraft on board Midway, their name and rank can be painted on the fuselage of that aircraft. This is a unique and special way to permanently recognize and honor a military veteran.

Artifact Donations
The USS Midway Museum’s curatorial staff seeks USS Midway-related items such as patches, plaques, newsletters, cruise books, photographs, videos, artwork and other items. We also are seeking general naval aviation- and aircraft carrier-related items such as flight gear, uniforms and ship’s artifacts. In addition, our museum library seeks naval history and naval aviation books, magazines, videos, and other research materials for its collection. Of particular interest are:
- All aircraft carrier cruise books
- Back issues of “Naval Aviation News,” “Approach,” "Wings of Gold," and “The Hook” magazines
- Books (new or used) on our Wish List at Amazon.com
Donations should include the donor’s name, address, email, phone number, and a list of donated items. We cannot guarantee that items will be put on display, nor can we accept donations with stipulations. However, all accepted donations are important for research, education and archival purposes.
