The USS Midway Museum's unique setting includes three possible event spaces:
- The Hangar Bay: Two enclosed hangar bays, each approximately 17,000 square feet.
- The Flight Deck: A four-acre outdoor deck with more than 50,000 square feet of dramatic event space.
- The Fantail Sponson: Semi-private outdoor covered patio overlooking San Diego Bay, the Coronado Bridge and downtown skyline, available for smaller early-evening events.
We partner with a list of well-established and accomplished caterers from which you must contract for your event. This exclusive group is experienced with the unique nuances of catering on board a historic aircraft carrier, and can offer diverse and high quality menu options for any type of event. We can accommodate evening events after the museum closes for up to 4,000 people. Guests access the ship via brows (stairs) from the pier to the hangar deck. Elevator access is available for guests who need assistance from the pier or between decks.
Approximately 375 parking spaces (paid by event guests) are available on Navy Pier, immediately adjacent to the ship. Staging areas are conveniently located nearby for buses or shuttles.
