The Open is a professional women’s tennis tournament that will take place at La Costa Resort and Spa from July 14-22nd.

The press conference will promote the tournament, as well as the “Celebrate Our Heroes Day” at La Costa, presented by the San Diego Union Tribune. Heroes Day is a special day during the tournament that features several activities and events for military, veterans, police and fire personnel and their families. The press conference will take place on the flight deck in front of the island from 12:30pm.

And as a special surprise, the press conference will feature a PORTABLE TENNIS COURT that will be set up on the flight deck! Two American players, 2012 US Olympian Christian McHale and 2012 Fed Cup Team Member Sloane Stephens, will play a short match! Players will also be available for limited autographs and interaction with the public.
