Job Description:
Midway Airwing has a need for a volunteer with experience with sewing to assist in the production of various upholstered items for aircraft and other museum displays. Items include cushion and equipment covers. Projects serve various department needs throughout the ship. Industrial equipment/workshop includes professional grade sewing machines, large worktable and dedicated space. Option to work from home is possible.
Requirements: 10-20 hours per month availability. Preferred workdays Tuesday, Friday or Saturdays, or other days by request. For on-site work, must be able to climb ship’s ladders and lift 20 pounds. Former or existing seamstresses or tailors encouraged to apply.
