School & Youth Discounted Admission
For Teachers & Youth Leaders
Midway’s Education Department offers an exclusive discount on admission for school groups, home schools, youth groups, scout groups, summer and/or day camp programs, after-school programs, ROTC groups, college groups, and other youth groups with 10 or more students.
This rate provides admission to the Midway during normal museum hours (10 a.m. – 5 p.m., last admission at 4 p.m.) and access to Midway’s Self-Guided Audio Tour.
Reservations must be made for your group at least one week in advance. Groups must have 10+ student or youth participants, no exceptions, and a 1:10 chaperone-to-student ratio is required.

Please note: The Reservation Forms include dates that appear in light grey. These dates are not available for this discounted admission offer and, therefore, cannot be selected. Groups may still visit the ship; however, normal museum rates apply.
The USS Midway Museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Prepayment by credit card is required for all Saturday reservations. All other payments must be made on the day of your visit. Midway’s Ticket Booth accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Travelers’ Checks. Purchase orders are accepted with advanced approval; please call 619-398-8271 for details and restrictions. Program fees are subject to change without notice until the reservation date.
To arrange a visit for your student or youth group with the admission discount, please complete the following form no less than one week in advance. You will receive a confirmation email verifying receipt of your reservation request upon submission. Please note that your visit date is not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation letter.
- The minimum number of students required is 10, and the maximum is 200
- 1 adult chaperone for every 10 students is required
- Cost for the 2024 calendar year: $10 per student, $15 for adults
- There is no charge for chaperones within the required ratio, except on Saturdays
- Prepayment by credit card is required for all Saturday reservations
- Education Discounted admission is not available on Sundays and certain holiday weekends
