Give Back: Help the Midway Magic Last Forever

Midway Family, Preserve, Inspire, Educate, and Entertain are four elements of Midway’s mission. This year, we invite you to give back and support the cornerstone element, ‘Preserve’. This takes funding and hard work — day-in and day-out — to maintain, rehabilitate and preserve this icon and living piece of American history. We thank you for the support you have given to Midway in any form and assure you that your support is what allows Midway to continue to float proudly and accomplish her mission well into the future.

In 2020, our work will be focused on performing widespread preventive maintenance and to complete three very large projects:

Aircraft Elevators

This project involves the complete overhaul of Midway’s three deck-edge aircraft elevators, including new massive cable assemblies and hydraulic pumps. These enormous platforms are absolutely critical to the full and efficient functioning of this museum as it supports nearly 300 large events each year.

Passenger Exit Elevator

This project supports overall safety and guest support, by constructing a new ‘exit’ elevator to assist guests departing from the hangar bay level to the pier, complementing the elevator that currently serves our arriving guests.

New 'Café 41' Food Service

The new 'Café 41' has an exciting design and will have an equally tantalizing menu to enhance the visitor experience of 1.4 million annual visitors from around the world.
