Midway's Pat Pfohl To Receive Career Achievement Award

March 14, 2019 Pat Pfohl, the USS Midway Museum’s Director of Event Sales, will receive a career achievement award for her leadership in the San Diego tourism and hospitality industry from the Women in Tourism & Hospitality Legacy Committee. Pfohl has led the establishment of Midway’s private-events program beginning in 2004, the year the museum opened. Today, her team is responsible for approximately 275 private events a year of up to 4,000 attendees and limits reservations to three years in advance due to the museum’s popularity. In addition, her team is responsible for approximately 400 daytime active-duty military ceremonies, including re-enlistments, retirements, changes of command, and memorial events. The USS Midway Museum regularly is included in various national “Top Ten” private event venue lists, reviews, and accolades. “You are an executive woman whose contributions, vision, innovation, and leadership have made a significant impact on the growth of the San Diego tourism and hospitality industry…your impact demonstrates your passion for inspiring leaders in our industry to great influence and success,” the award states. The theme of this year’s awards is “Change Makers Shaping the Future.” All of the USS Midway Museum crew would like to congratulate Pat on this achievement!
