NBC 7 Salute to Service: Lincoln Housing Military Give-a-Way- Nov 7
This year’s Salute to Service Festival has been canceled out of an abundance of caution and in adherence to current government policies regarding COVID-19.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, the USS Midway Museum is proud to partner with NBC7 San Diego and Telemundo in assembling and passing out care packs to 100 local military families through Lincoln Military Housing.
The USS Midway invites these 100 families along with all military Veterans to join us onboard for Veterans Day to free admission to the museum.
BBQ on the Flight Deck- Nov 7 & 8 and Nov 14 & 15
Midway is happy to partner with two local catering companies to bring BBQ to the flight deck! Join us onboard during the first two weekends of November and you will be able to indulge in delicious food offerings available for purchase. Some menu items include pulled pork, ribs, chicken, coleslaw and more.

NOTE: This is a dining opportunity for museum guests who visit on the selected dates. Items will be availalbe for purchase and are not included in museum admission. As a result of COVID-19, the museum is at limited capacity, so please plan ahead. Click here to purchase your tickets in advance.
As a special thank you for your service to our nation, Active Duty Military and Veterans and up to two additional family members will receive free admission to the USS Midway Museum on November 11, 2020. Must present ID or proof of service at Midway’s Ticket Booth open daily from 10 am – 4 pm.
Fleet Week Boat Parade Viewing – Nov 11, 10 am
Come view the Veterans Day Boat Parade as part of Fleet Week San Diego from the flight deck of the USS Midway!
The Fleet Week San Diego Boat Parade is a community event dedicated to honoring the men and women of our military, past and present. The Parade starts at 10 am and is expected to pass by the Midway at approximately 12 pm!
This viewing opportunity is included in museum admission with all physical distancing protocols upheld. As a result of COVID-19, the museum is at limited capacity. Click here to purchase your ticket for Veterans Day in advance.
Give back on Veterans Day! Stop by the San Diego Blood Bank trailer on Navy Pier (within the Ace Parking Lot) to make a donation! Donors will receive one (1) free pass to the USS Midway Museum, while supplies last.

Join us for a special Veterans Day episode of Destination Midway where Karl will take us back to moments in history in a fun engaging way with some special guests!
Join us on the hangar deck to enjoy a patriotically inspired art exhbit by U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Joe Pisano. Chief Pisano’s art is considered “3D Industrial” and uses a variety of objects including drywall screws, dog tags and golf tees in the creation of his artwork.
