VIP Docent Tours
The USS Midway Museum offers groups a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience of a private one-hour tour led by one of Midway’s Docents. See the ship like never before!
Our Docent staff is 100% comprised of Midway volunteers, therefore times and days are limited and non-negotiable. Once a tour is requested, the Docent assigned to lead the group will select the ship areas to be toured based on group size and space availability.
Following the Docent-led tour, groups are free to stay on board and continue with the guided audio tour narrated by Midway sailors to enhance their visit even further. Also, groups are welcome to experience the “Voices of Midway” - a 15-minute immersive film detailing one of WWII's most important naval battles, the Battle of Midway.
Docent-Led Tour Times
All Docent tours are one hour at a minimum and offered at select times and dates. Please review the times and guest capacities below to determine what will best suit your group's needs.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday
- 9 a.m. (Maximum 60 people)
Wednesday
- 9 a.m. (Maximum 60 people)
- 2 p.m. (Maximum 40 people)
Sunday
- No Docent-led tours are available on Sunday
Cost
Group up to 10 people: $550 flat rate
Group of 11 or more: $55 per person
Please note that rates include the docent tour and regular admission to the museum on the same day as the tour. Reservations are required and must be made no later than two weeks in advance. Tour payment must also be received no later than two weeks before your tour date. We accept checks, cash, Visa, American Express, and MasterCard. Docent tours are non-refundable, and cancellations must be made two weeks in advance.
