Admission includes a self-guided audio tour for you and your family. The audio tour brings Midway’s history to life and adds a personal touch to what it was like to live onboard a floating city at sea!

If you wish to enjoy the Audio Tour during your visit, we recommend you bring your own wired earbuds/headphones.

Self-Guided Audio Tour

Tour Description:
Midway’s audio tour is split in three engaging sections:

  • Flight Deck: Listen to Midway pilots describe what it was like to fly the more than 20 aircraft on the flight deck off of this floating airport. Also visit Admiral’s & Captain’s Country and pilot Ready Rooms!
  • Hangar Deck: Hear what it was like to drop anchor, sleep in an enlisted sailors’ bunk or fly a WWII aircraft from Midway Sailors!
  • Below Deck: Sick Bay, Galley, Laundry and Engine Room are just some of the spaces you can explore and listen to Midway sailors describe their daily life aboard.

Tour Length:
The tour is self-guided, so guests may choose which locations and stops they would like to visit and listen to. Guests should allow 2-4 hours to experience the audio tour.

Family Self-Guided Audio Tour

Tour Description:
Our Family Self-Guided Audio is perfect for our little skippers! Families can follow Airman Sam Rodriguez as he leads youngsters on an eye-opening and entertaining audio tour to more than 30 locations throughout the aircraft carrier.

For extra fun, stop by our Docent Information Center at the start of your visit to learn about how your youngster can earn his or her Junior Pilot Wings! Learn more about the Junior Pilot Program here.

The Family Audio Tour is self-guided, so guests may choose which locations and stops they would like to visit and listen to. Guests should allow 2-3 hours to experience this tour.

Make your Midway visit even better! Take a moment to chat with our volunteer Docents stationed throughout Midway, easily spotted in yellow hats. They truly bring the ship to life through sharing personal stories and anecdotes of life at sea!
